Collage. These compositions were hardly directed by reasoning, there’s no real concept in any of these photos, the images were selected at random, cut out from magazines. I could only make sense when I started to place images together…I had no glue so I have simply rearranged the images to form other collages…

so…after looking through a series of pictures on here and on other sites (mostly art and photography concerned) I got inspired to do work, these pictures depict only a fragment of my ideas. I worked with my phone which is only an android, however, bless the “google” app store that provided me with the apps to bring to life (in the visual sense) my ideas. enjoy. Blended images/collages.

Balogun Market. Major local trade centre in Lagos. I always feel different each time I’m at this market, usually under the influence of music from far away places like Salif Keita’s “Tomorrow” Mali in Balogun, or a piece by Olafur Arnalds which is usually ironical because of the calm of the music and the vibrancy of the market…I take out my phone and take pictures, most times without knowing what exactly what has drawn my attention, I take several shots, and sort them out, then they make sense in some way…here are a few of the pictures I’ve taken in attempt to capture the spirit of the market. Enjoy!
